Description

Rhine, completely redesigned! Here he was: [link] and here he is now.

Hadegas are a species I made. Please do NOT make your own Hadega without asking me first! I'll more than likely allow you to make one, but you must tell me your intentions first!

About Hadegas...

Pronounced Aah-day-guh (gu as in "gum").

Females are somewhat larger than males and are more heavily armored. Hadegas are a savage species, even within their own race, and it's not uncommon for males and females to kill their prospective mates during courtship. Hadegas are usually solitary and extremely territorial. Hadegas are compulsive hoarders and keep their collections on their backs.

Their hide has a unique healing aspect which can incorporate foreign tissue into the body. Rocks, bones, metal, garbage, and other materials are frequently found embedded into their bodies. Horns from other animals are used advantageously. If limbs are lost, they can be replaced with found objects.

There are 7 subspecies: Tropical, Derelict, Cave, Magnificent, Mountain, Deep, and Desert.

Tropical Hadegas are of medium size and are brightly colored. They usually have an earthen base color, with flashy patterns. Unlike other subspecies, the Tropical Hadega is rather peaceful and exists in large herds. Tropicals prefer to use branches, ferns, vines, mushrooms, etc to decorate their hide. These live objects will continue to survive on the Hadega; a sort of symbiotic relationship.

Derelict Hadegas reside in urban environments. They are the second smallest subspecies. Rather timid, they are rarely encountered. Derelicts use metal, garbage, traffic cones, etc. to decorate their hides. They are usually plainly colored with dingy patterns and dark hues.

Cave Hadegas are the smallest subspecies. They are pale in coloration and have translucent flesh. Numerous bioluminescent spots are present. They tend to keep the hide decorations sparse.

Magnificent and Mountain Hadegas are the largest subspecies, with Mountain being slightly larger. They look very similar, both using rocks and bones in their hides with dark pelts, but the Magnificent has elaborate bioluminescent patterns while the Mountain has a more camouflaged appearance. Mountain and Magnificent Hadegas are extremely aggressive and live completely alone. They are very rare because they are more likely to kill their mate than breed.

Deep Hadegas are completely aquatic, venturing on land maybe once or twice in their life. They range in color depending on the depth/location or their habitat. Shells, corals, and sea plants are common decorations. They are of Medium size.

Desert Hadegas are lean and longer than other species. They are of medium large size. Earthen colors are common, along with boulders and feathers to decorate the pelt. Desert Hadegas exist in small family groups.

Rhine and Hadegas are (c) to me!

Moody I find I keep coming back to this deviation in my favourites when I see it LOL. It's so eye catching. Would I be able to make my own character with your permission? I just love making character designs (: I really like both the Tropical and Derelict ones, but I think I'd like to make a Derelict one- what sort of size is 'small', though?
Also, do you roleplay them yourself or no?

<33 ee thanks
